The story behind Fungki

Why I’m Building Fungki

You train your body. Why wouldn’t you give your mind the same attention?

My name is Pleun. An entrepreneur, personal development enthusiast, and someone who is always looking for ways to function just a little better than yesterday. As long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by growth. Not just professionally, but as a person. How do you get more out of yourself? How do you create more focus, energy, calm, and fulfillment? How do you become the best and happiest version of yourself?

My journey did not start with psychedelics or supplements. It started with the fundamentals. Exercise. Nutrition. Sleep. Routine. I became fascinated by the question of why some days seem effortless, while on others you feel like you’re working against yourself. What determines how you feel, think, and perform? That curiosity did not come out of nowhere. For a long time, I did not feel my best. I struggled with my energy, my health, and finding balance. As a result, I became curious. Not about quick fixes, but about sustainable improvement. I do not believe that a single habit, a single book, or a single product changes your life. I believe real growth comes from the small choices you make over and over again. A better night’s sleep. A workout you do anyway. An extra walk. A conversation you stop postponing. On their own, they seem small. Together, they can make a world of difference.

At the age of 21, I was introduced to ayahuasca for the first time. It was an experience that permanently changed my perspective on personal development. Not because I suddenly found all the answers, but because it deepened my curiosity about consciousness, human behavior, and personal growth. In the years that followed, I continued to explore, learn, and experiment. Not because there was something wrong with me, but because I believe growth is a lifelong process. I love entrepreneurship. I love building things. I love taking on challenges and developing myself. I enjoy pursuing ambitious goals, but I also believe that success means very little if you lose your energy, health, or happiness along the way. For me, personal development is not about working harder or doing more. It is about living consciously. Understanding what gives you energy and what drains it. Learning to listen to yourself. Creating a life where performance and wellbeing go hand in hand. That journey eventually led me to microdosing. At first, out of curiosity. Later, as one of the many tools that helped me move through life with more focus, calm, and intention. And ultimately, that same journey led me to build Fungki.

I have a busy working life and get a lot of energy from achieving goals. But because of that, I have also become aware of something else: Mental performance is not about always working harder. It is about functioning better in a sustainable way.

It is about focus and recovery when needed. About creating a system that helps you stay sharp, energized, and balanced over the long term. With that mindset, microdosing entered my life. Not as a miracle cure. Not as an escape. But as a tool within a bigger picture. What I noticed was subtle, yet powerful.

  • Less procrastination.
  • More focus.
  • More calm.
  • Better relationships.
  • Fewer hormonal complaints.
  • A stronger sense of balance.

No dramatic highs or magical transformation. Just small improvements that accumulated week after week. The more I learned about microdosing, the more excited I became about its potential. At the same time, I found myself becoming increasingly frustrated with the market. Why did everything feel so unclear? Why did you often not know where a product came from? Why was it so often about big promises instead of consistent results? Why did guidance seem to be missing? And why was almost nobody paying attention to protocols, when that is exactly where I believe the real value lies?

I believed in microdosing

But I did not believe in the way the market presented it. That was the moment the idea for Fungki was born. A brand that is clear, accessible, and transparent. A brand that takes quality seriously. A brand that helps people apply microdosing in a structured way, rather than simply trying it every now and then. That is why we combine premium microdosing truffles with clear protocols, honest information, and guidance. Not because we think we have all the answers, but because we believe people achieve better results when they work with structure, rhythm, and consistency.

Ultimately, Fungki is bigger than microdosing for me. I hope to contribute to a world where mental performance becomes just as normal as physical performance. A world in which people consciously invest in focus, recovery, energy, and mental resilience. A world where we take our minds as seriously as we take our bodies. For some people, microdosing can be a valuable tool in that journey. But the mission is bigger than that:

Train your mind like an athlete.

With or without Fungki, make mental performance a bigger priority in your life.
