Fresh truffles are living organisms. This means they continue to undergo subtle biological processes even after they have been harvested and packaged. For that reason, our microdosing truffles are vacuum-sealed immediately after packaging, with each daily dose packed individually. Vacuum packaging helps to maintain consistent quality, reduce oxidation, prevent moisture loss, protect against external contaminants and competing fungi, preserve the intended weight of each dose. For microdosing, this is especially important. When truffles are exposed to oxygen, heat, or excess moisture, quality can deteriorate quickly. That is why we recommend keeping packages sealed until use, and why we package each daily dose separately.
